The League to Save Lake Tahoe is searching for a dynamic, detail-oriented, intuitive, and analytical professional to support our policy team through building and managing state and federal political relationships, managing legislative advocacy strategies, and supporting local and regional advocacy.
This position will both lead and execute the League’s lobbying and grassroots advocacy efforts, assist the policy team in building key legislative and agency relationships, track legislation and policy, track updates and movement of all relevant environmental plans, policies, projects, and funding opportunities for Lake Tahoe, and ensure that League executives and Policy Team members are informed and up to date on environmental issues. No plan, project or program happens in Tahoe without the League’s involvement. The successful PPM candidate will step right into the flow and be positioned to make an impact immediately.
This position will report to the Policy Director.
Professional experience in some combination of natural sciences, state and/or federal legislative process, planning, environmental management, policy development, and political lobbying/grassroots campaigning is optimal for success in this position.

The League has a hybrid work structure that does not require employees to be in the office daily. However, based on the nature of this work, we ask that this position be based somewhere in the Tahoe Basin.
The PPM is the legislative liaison and administrator for all League advocacy and policy priorities. The PPM also contributes to the Policy Team’s local and regional advocacy efforts including preparing for and attending public meetings, tracking and analyzing environmental policies and plans, and supporting the Policy Team by sharing administrative duties.
